As Leslie Knope once said, “Oh Galentine’s Day! It's only the best day of the year. Every February 13th, my lady friends and I leave our husbands and our boyfriends at home, and we just come and kick it, breakfast-style. Ladies celebrating ladies. It's like Lilith Fair, minus the angst. Plus frittatas."
Galentine’s Day has transcended from fiction to a part of our culture. The non-official holiday is an optimistic celebration of friendship before Valentine’s Day. Etsy has suggestions for perfect Galentine's Day gifts, and Target now sells Galentine's Day decorations. We predict in a few years it will be formally recognized with Papyrus greeting cards and no longer underlined as a miss-spelled word in e-mail.
On Saturday, February 3rd, we are teaming with Seneca Ryan Co. to host a Galentine’s Day event at our Chippy White Table Shop. There might not be frittatas, but there will be ladies celebrating ladies—and lots of bubbly and chocolate too. Fun festivities include a DIY sugar scrub tutorial, a mini-bouquet bar, sips and treats, gift bags, and your squad’s photo captured in front of Galentine’s Day backdrop by Seneca Ryan Co.
New year, new pieces added to our inventory. The Danielle sofa, Ava ottoman, and additional upholstered seating can be found on our inventory page.
The Chippy Shop is the perfect place to celebrate with your tribe. One hour spots are available from 10 am to 4 pm; $45 per person. We allow fifteen gal pals per time slot, so invite your mother, sister, forever friends, co-workers, neighbor, yoga instructor, Jane Austen book club, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, amazing stylist who fixed your hair after you decided to give yourself bangs—anyone who has affected your life for the better to share your appreciation. E-mail firstname.lastname@example.org for reservations and inquiries.
In the year of Venus, Galentine’s Day is a perfect way for goddesses to gather and honor one another.
